Psychodrama The original Moreno Stage, long recognized as a vital symbol in the psychodrama community, finds its home at Boughton Place where it is lovingly utilized by many psychodramatists. Built in 1938 in Beacon, NY, it was dismantled and moved to Boughton Place in Highland, NY in 1986.

The Moreno Stage at Boughton Place is an international training center for psychodramatists from around the world. It is the home of Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute run by nationally known Psychodramatists Rebecca Walters and Judy Swallow, and has been used as a residential training center by Zerka Moreno, Jonathan Fox, Ann Hale, Dorothy and Mort Satten, Donna Little, Natalie Winters, Louise Lipmann, Nan Nally-Seif, Connie Miller and Susan Aaron. It is also home the Hudson Valley Chapter of the ASGPP, which offers open sessions on a monthly basis.
Devoted to keeping the Moreno vision alive, Boughton Place welcomes all those interested in using the theatre for its principal intended use as a stage for psychodrama.
