The historic Moreno Stage built in 1936
Welcome
Boughton Place is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and is the home of the original Moreno Psychodrama stage. It has become an international training center for psychodramatists from around the world. It is the home of Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute run by nationally known Psychodramatists Rebecca Walters and Judy Swallow, Potential Unlimited, Vagabonde Shakespeare and has been used as a residential training center by Zerka Moreno, Jonathan Fox, Ann Hale, Dorothy and Mort Satten, Donna Little, Natalie Winters, Louise Lipmann, Nan Nally-Seif, Connie Miller and Susan Aaron.
Our Mission
Boughton Place is a nonprofit learning center that provides education, community and practical support for individuals and groups interested in developing transformative skills for sustainable living.
It is also home to Community Playback Theatre, the Hudson Valley Chapter of the ASGPP, Swing Dance classes with Got2Lindy Dance Studios and is used as rehearsal space for theater, improv groups, music and much more.
Community Playback Theatre performs on the first Friday of each month.
